This is it Michael Jacson's DVD
It's hard not to watch This Is It without feeling a mixture of sorrow and elation. When he passed away in the summer of 2009, Michael Jackson was in the midst of rehearsals for his final tour, an ambitious 50-date engagement. In editing 120 hours of rehearsal footage together, Jackson producer Kenny Ortega proves that it would've been an event for the ages. Michael performs material that spans his career, from a Motown medley to multi-platinum hits from Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. Though he hadn't toured in 10 years, it becomes instantly apparent, despite rumors to the contrary, that Jackson was still in full possession of that unmistakable voice--high-pitched whoops and all--and that he still had the gravity-defying moves of a man half his age. Jackson and Ortega also collaborated on some real showstoppers, such as a graveyard-set "Thriller"; an imposing "They Don't Care About Us," in which several dancers appear to morph into thousands; and a film noir sequence in which the singer slides in and out of Gilda and other black-and-white classics, singing "Smooth Criminal" all the while. Not everything works, like the Jackson 5 numbers, in which he flubs a few lyrics, claiming that his earpiece isn't working properly, but as he readily acknowledges, "That's what rehearsal is for." It's a tragedy that he didn't get the chance to share this dazzling show with the world, but Ortega allows fans to feel as if it actually happened--at least onscreen.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Grade 7 Up-Four short stories of mystery and intrigue by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are performed radio theater style by the St. Charles Players: "The Adventure of the Speckled Band," "The Adventure of the Dancing Men," "A Scandal in Bohemia," and "The Adventure of the Devil's Foot." The narration is acceptable, although some characters sound flat and their British accent is too obviously forced. However, this detracts little from the overall entertainment value of the stories. The overall aural quality could be improved; a slight hissing can be heard throughout the narration. Though at times Holmes comes across as haughty, listeners become caught up in learning how he ingeniously solves the cases using clues that Watson, the other investigators, and most listeners miss. Fine for individual or group listening, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes could be used for entertainment or for a unit on the mystery genre in English classes. The lack of strong female characters in these stories may warrant including alternate classic mysteries with strong women, such as Simon Brett's Mrs. Pargeter, Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, Heron Carvic's Miss Seeton, or Dorothy Gilman's Mrs. Pollifax. A nice feature of this package is that each short story is completed with one cassette. Unless you have a great demand for classic mysteries, this audiobook is an additional purchase.

Justin Bieber MP3 Download
I liked the single Baby but the whole cd is not good at all. It's one of those cds that by the end of the song you already forgot about it. This album could've been better than this. Don't get me wrong he does have potential so hopefully his next album, if there is even one, will be better maybe once he gets a little older.
This review is from: Summer at Willow Lake (Lakeshore Chronicles, Book 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
Olivia Bellamy decides to spend her summer renovating Camp Kioga, the resort camp that has been in the family for over 3 generations. Her grandparents plan to celebrate their 50th anniversary by "renewing their vows" at the camp where they had first met, but since the camp has been closed for the last nine years it needs an "extreme makeover" before it can host such a huge family event. Olivia is reluctant to accept the job at first, because she spent all of her summers growing up there, and they were not happy memories. But after being dumped by her third fiance, she is overwhelmed with the need to get out of Manhattan, and away from her disappointed parents. Returning to Camp Kioga brings back many uncomfortable memories of her childhood growing up an overweight "smart mouthed" kid, with thick glasses and no friends ... no friends except for her older cousins, and one very handsome boy who was as unhappy and lonely as she was. His name was Connor Davis, and on Olivia's very first day back at the old camp, she finds out that he is the only building contractor available in town. Even though she loved Connor growing up, Olivia is not anxious to see him again, because he broke her heart when she was eighteen, the summer before she started college. When Connor arrives at camp to give a renovation estimate, he sees a beautiful, slender blonde, hanging from a flag pole. He doesn't realize that she is his childhood friend "Lolly", because Olivia Bellamy has changed quite a lot in the last several years... This story goes back and forth between "present day" camp renovation, and Olivia's childhood memories of camp, (and a few memories from her parents' generation), but it does not distract from the story at all. It's a really good story, and the book was a joy to read from beginning to end. This is one of Susan Wiggs' best written books, and I find it very similar in style to many of family sagas written by Nora Roberts.
Justin Bieber's haircut costs $750
Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber's signature haircut reportedly costs him $750. The famous Bieber look allegedly comes with a big price tag, according to US Life & Style magazine. Vanessa Price is the hairstylist who created the 16-year-old's signature style in 2009, and she makes housecalls to Bieber to touch up her work. She told the publication: "I usually cut his hair every couple of weeks when he's on tour." Vanessa and Bieber had no idea the haircut would become so popular. Price added: "We both were shocked people cared that much about someone's hair!"...

Britney to Boyfriend: You're Rehired!
Britney Spears fired her boyfriend Jason Trawick as her personal agent a few months ago, but apparently she's had a change of heart.
Jason is rehired as Brit's agent with his company, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment.
But having her as a client and a girlfriend is a handful so he's going to get some extra help.
"Jason will be part of the team handling her career," a source tells Us Weekly. "He won’t be the only agent working with her, he will handling acting endeavors, but there will be a big music department also on her account."
So why is she rehiring him? "Jason is someone the family trusts, they know he will make the best decisions for her and she feels comfortable with him," explains the insider. "WME is absolutely the best choice for Britney. They are the best at what they do and her team recognize that."
So basically she's his sugar mama and he gets 10%. Not too shabby!
